Jessica Howson
Student
Jessica joined the team as a co-operative education student in the winter of 2020 and was subsequently hired after her placement to work as a legal assistant. Jessica wears many hats in her role with the team and plays an instrumental part in connection with assisting the lawyers with respect to undertakings, pleadings, training, bookkeeping tasks, dealing with emergencies, and scheduling appointments.
Jessica has also been playing an important part in supporting the team in connection with clients involved in motor vehicle collision cases in both their Accident Benefits matter and cases against at-fault parties. Jessica possesses excellent organizational and time management skills which serve as an asset to the firm’s clients.
Jessica partakes in the office training sessions, huddles and forms part of the training team for new staff members. She is the lead on pre-and post-examination undertakings at the firm’s Spring training sessions. Jessica has been attending the annual Sudbury Colloquium legal education program held in October each year.
Jessica was born and raised in Timmins and played competitive ice hockey in the region over the years.
Throughout her time at Meunier Carrier Lawyers Jessica has expanded her knowledge about the legal field and particularly, in Civil Litigation and Family Law. Meunier Carrier Lawyers is pleased to have Jessica form part of the team.
Jessica will be completing her fourth year at Laurentian University during the 2024-2025 Academic year where she is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in Criminology with a minor in Psychology.
