Corbin De Blois

On May 10th, 2022, Corbin joined Team Meunier Carrier as a full-time summer employee in the role of Legal Assistant.

Corbin’s duties include new client intakes, drafting pleadings such as Statements of Claims involving injuries and fatalities. Corbin assists the Team with respect to pre- and post-examination for discovery undertakings.  He also summarizes medical records and diagnostic imaging reports. He is part of the crew that oversees drafting executive summaries of medical files and client documents.

Corbin has undergone extensive training since joining the firm and has further had the opportunity to attend and observe examinations for discovery, court matters in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and disputes before the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

Corbin participates in the firm huddles and partakes in the educational in-house training sessions offered at Meunier Carrier Lawyers.

By way of background, Corbin attended Timmins High and Vocational School where he obtained his Ontario Secondary School Diploma with honours. While in high school, Corbin played basketball and partook in the track and field programs. Corbin excels as an athlete and won three OFSAA medals in his high school career which included one in basketball and two others in track and field.

Presently, Corbin is attending the University of Guelph’s Lang School of Business where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management, Economics, and Finance with an emphasis in Finance. Corbin is continuing his athletic endeavours for the University of Guelph’s Varsity track and field team. In his first season as a University athlete, he earned a spot at nationals and helped the men’s team win the national championship.

Corbin’s future goal consists of attending law school after completing his Bachelor degree. In the meantime, Corbin is acquiring learning opportunities and experience which is being afforded to him by Meunier Carrier Lawyers.
