Gabrielle Dagenais

Gabrielle was welcomed by Team Meunier Carrier after completing a high school placement in 2017 through the co-op education program at École secondaire catholique Thériault.

She has since worked as a legal assistant, learning both administrative tasks and being exposed to more comprehensive legal work.

Gabrielle has observed matters in both the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice over the years which has provided her with a better understanding of the practical side of law.

Gabrielle is passionate about helping youth and she is thankful to be granted innumerable opportunities to attend court, meet with children along with Jay Meunier who is a panel agent for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, prepare executive summaries and interact with clients as may be needed through her employment.

She has also been exposed to a great number of learning opportunities as she has followed various family law cases, car accident victims and their family members and personal injury cases from their very start to completion. Whether it be assisting in the drafting of a Statement of Claim, attending Examinations for Discovery with one of the lawyers, or even reviewing settlement proposals, Gabrielle has grown to appreciate all the diligent work that goes into legal proceedings.

Gabrielle plays an active role in the firm huddles and participates in the legal education seminars provided by Team Meunier Carrier.

Gabrielle has worked closely with many clients who have suffered serious and catastrophic injuries under the supervision of Jay Meunier.  Gabrielle forms part of the support system of the firm’s clients.

Outside of work, Gabrielle loves to spend time with family at the cottage, running and playing soccer. She obtained and completed a degree at Mount Allison University.
